| Fort Lauderdale,Fla. 1979 : 'Clark Humphrey' (aka Jeremy Kolosine) wins studio time in a Florida Arts Gazette competition with his solo synth-filtered guitar and drum machine called 'FUTURISK'. He forms a band to record, and releases 'Army Now'(The Sound of Futurism ,1980 Clark Humphrey Records),an electro-punk war anthem , to much local attention.In 1981 Frank Lardino leaves ,Richard Hess joins and a year later and FUTURISK releases the more electronic, yet still rocking 'Player Piano EP'.1982 saw Futurisk film several videos and regional TV appearances.The live version of Futurisk changes in 1983 when Jack Howard leaves. Also that year, Jeremy and Ritchie record the most synthetic and rythmical work to that date.In 1984 the track 'Change In The Tide' is completed and is the last recording that FUTURISK would complete.These days,their 2 vinyl releases are sought after by collectors. |
